Flourishing in Young Adults: The Role of Achievement Goals, Participation Motivation, and Self-Perception Levels in Physical Activity Contexts

This study aims to determine how achievement goals, participation motivation and self-perception levels in physical activity environments relate the flourishing of young adults. The general purpose was also examine differences selected variables adults environments. To achieve our aims, recruited sample consisted 580 adult exercisers ranging age from 18 40 years fitness centers Izmir, Turkey. Participants completed a personal information form, Flourishing Scale, 2 × Achievement Goals Questionnaire for Sport (2 AGQ-S), Situational Motivation Scale (SIMS), Physical Self-Description (PSDQ). We examined correlations, regressions, path models with measured variables. relates significantly (p < 0.001) positively global self-esteem, mastery-approach goal, intrinsic motivation, self-concept.
